About Me

My name is Jen and I am 19. I am a technically-sophomore-but-my-credits-make-me-a-junior student at my state university.

Last semester, my professor suggested that I apply for this internship very last minute (I had two days or so to put together the application which was way past due), and so here I am. I am living in the white-marbled city that has always tugged at my heart for years, studying and working and breathing in her air, wondering if I'll end up being so enamored with her at the end of my little-less-than-four-month-long stay, I'll be trying to figure out how and when I'll be back again. I am indeed very lucky.

Due to the nature of my work, this blog will contain no information regarding the office. Suffice it to say that I have an internship within Congress for the fall semester. I will most likely only go as far as mention if I'm tired from work (which I imagine will be more often than not). Rather, this will serve as a log and online record of my thoughts as I roam the city, the food I'll eat, the adventures I hope to have, and the like.

Or so I thought. I have neglected blogging for the first ten weeks of my stay, but will be diligent from now on to be regular on my posts.
